Becker’s Hospital Review has named Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center to the 2016 edition of its list, “100 hospitals and health systems with great heart programs.”

The hospitals on this list lead the nation in cardiovascular healthcare. Many have pioneered groundbreaking procedures and are still pioneering breakthroughs today. All have received recognitions for top-of-the-line patient care.

Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center has the largest cardiac surgery program in the San Francisco Bay Area and one of the largest in California. The hospital offers comprehensive cardiac care, including specialized programs for patients with coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure. Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center has been recognized for providing outstanding cardiac care. It was ranked as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report in its 2016-17 rankings. Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center earned a three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons in 2015.
