Kevin Yee, MD
Associate Executive Director
Dr. Yee was named associate executive director for The Permanente Medical Group in 2022, and in this role he oversees Adult and Family Medicine (AFM) for the medical group.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Yee held several leadership positions at the Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Medical Center while also caring for patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings. He served as technology lead for Adult and Family Medicine, chief of patient education, physician lead for new member onboarding, and most recently assistant physician-in-chief (APIC). As APIC, Dr. Yee’s portfolio included oversight of COVID-19 operations, technology, outpatient laboratory and pharmacy operations, performance improvement, health promotion, and radiology and laboratory appropriateness.
Dr. Yee earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco and completed his residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Yee also has a broad and deep foundation in consulting, strategic analysis, operational execution, and technology development and deployment. Prior to joining TPMG in 2010, he was the medical director for Keas, Inc. (health care technology, software, and innovation), an associate consultant in the health care division at McKinsey and Company in San Francisco, and was a founding member of the healthcare division of Scient Corporation, an internet consultancy.
