Simple, At-Home Test Will Detect Most Colorectal Cancers
Our research showed that FIT Tests (fecal immunochemical tests) detect about 79 percent of colorectal cancers. FIT tests are much simpler than a colonoscopy. Patients only have to collect a single stool sample at home and then send it to a lab for analysis.
Kaiser Permanente Northern California Recognized as “Million Hearts Hypertension Control Champion”
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services named Kaiser Permanente Northern California a Million Hearts Hypertension Control Champion. A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that we nearly doubled the rate of blood-pressure control among adult patients with hypertension from 2001 to 2009 through one of the largest, community-based programs in the nation.
KP Redwood City Neurosurgery Team Performs High-Precision, High-Tech Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery

We offer a relatively new surgical procedure called Deep Brain Stimulation that involves placing tiny electrodes into the brain and connecting them to an implanted device programmed to deliver tiny electrical jolts to the brain. Each jolt essentially re-sets the muscle control area and stops tremors.
